Department: Spa
Pay range – Hourly Commensurate with Education and Experience
Requires a flexible schedule based on business, client, and staffing demands.

  • Nail Technicians perform professional nail, hand, and foot treatments.
  • They must possess a thorough knowledge of nails, including basic knowledge of hand and foot massage techniques, a neat application of nail polish and long wear nail polish, artificial nail application and fills.
  • They must possess excellent cleanliness and sanitation skills and be willing to train in the spa’s specific nail service offerings.
  • They must possess excellent communication skills and be able to learn the product and service knowledge necessary to effectively provide beauty solutions to meet the needs of our guests.
  • They must hold and maintain a current state license.
  • Minimum 2 years experience.
  • Holds a valid State of Rhode Island Nail technician license.
  • Guest service experience necessary.
  • Ability to perform a minimum of five hours of consecutive treatments.
  • Perform the duties of a nail technician which requires standing, pushing, pulling, manual dexterity, and proper ergonomic posture.
  • Must regularly be able to lift and move 20lbs.
  • Must be able to work with such items as nail polishes and polish removers, manicure and pedicure implements, UV lights. Microwaves, bath and sea salts, aromatherapies and fragrances, heat and cold and withstand the simultaneous noise from three whirlpool foot stations.
  • Must be able to work in an environment where guests are scantily clad or disrobing for services.

Department: Spa

  • The Massage Therapist administers professional massage and body treatments to guests.
  • They must have a thorough knowledge of numerous massage modalities, possess a general understanding of body treatments, and be willing to train in the spa’s specific massage and body treatment offerings.
  • They must possess excellent communication skills and be able to learn the product and service knowledge necessary to effectively provide wellness solutions to meet the needs of our guests.
  • They must hold and maintain a current state Massage License.
  • Prior experience in customer service industry.
  • Ability to perform a minimum of five hours of consecutive treatments.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, lean, push and pull arms and legs for a minimum of 6 hours a day in the course of giving treatments or training to give treatments.
  • Must be able to push, pull, tug, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs. in the preparation of all treatments and training for treatments.
  • Must be able to work with such items as bath and sea salts, aromatherapies and fragrances, heat and cold and withstand the ever-changing and quick nature of the spa business.
  • Must be able to work in an environment where guests are scantily clad or disrobing for services.

Department: Salon
Pay range – Commission Based Compensation
Requires a flexible schedule based on business, client, and staffing demands.

  • Under the supervision of the Spa & Salon Supervisor and Spa Director, the Stylist provides professional, high-quality hair care services for clients.
  • The Stylist provides their own service utensils including but not limited to curling iron, hairdryer, flat iron, shears clippers, brushes, combs and clips.
  • The stylist is responsible for encouraging upgrades/series and retail sales, cleaning and when necessary, performing float duties in the Salon and hospitality area.
  • High school diploma or GED, as well as a beautician/cosmetician RI state license and a minimum of five years salon experience or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education, is required.
  • Hospitality or spa experience preferred but not required.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to walk and stand 100% of the time; Use hands to handle, feel for texture shape and depth of hair; Speak clearly; Have full hearing capacity.
  • The employee is frequently required to stoop/bend, lift, reach, pull and push.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Prior history of physical injury exacerbated by: standing, walking, lifting. pushing, pulling, reaching, Carpal Tunnel or repetitive use injury may disqualify a candidate for this position.

Department: Spa
Pay range – Commission Based Compensation
Requires a flexible schedule based on business, client, and staffing demands.

  • The Spa Front Desk Associate is responsible for the reception area at the Spa, including the greeting of all guests, answering phone calls, assisting guests with questions regarding spa services and products, booking appointments, checking guests into the computer system, charging for services performed and selling retail.
  • Additionally may be required to assist with cleaning/stocking of sauna, private event room, locker rooms, relaxation rooms and spa reception.
  • High School diploma required.
  • Guest Service Experience necessary.
  • Minimum of 1-year prior experience in hospitality, spa or related guest service required.
  • Computer facility required. Must be able to read computer monitor and type on an electronic keyboard while standing.
  • Must be able to push, pull, tug, life and carry 50lbs at a time.
  • Must be able to stand at post for 8 hours per day.
  • Must be able to add, subtract, divide, multiply and be proficient in the use of adding machines, calculators and learn EXCEL spreadsheets.
